Wow, thanks man... :-)

I can Beta test if you like :-) I have a Vista 64 bit Quad Core 3.25GHz system with 4GB RAM going to 8GB soon. The CPU is an overclocked QX6750

how awesome! right now my application is 64bit only because of a few minor bugs (i don't work in 32bit mode much anymore), so i could indeed send you stuff to render :D i'm using a 3ghz (still using stock cooler) q6600 myself, 64bit windows xp.

the thing is that right now, *everything* is controlled in the exe: when it runs, it starts rendering whatever is coded in, absolutely no data files. this is why i usually render fractals and other procedural stuff... i'm a terrible 3d modeller :/ so, once i have support for complex polygonal/triangle scenes and some basic materials, i'd be totally happy to send you stuff to beta test! :D

Totally excellent... I can't code for shit... even if my life depended on it:
fox x = 1-255
print$ x

Now, when it comes to designing and implementing and running super large high end TCP/IP networks with Firewalls and VPN and such stuff... come to me :-)... CCIE#9013 Routing and Switching. But never could code...

LOL

HEy Jax... yes, I used VRay Sun and VRay Sky indeed.

It is the easiest thing in the world to do. However, you should ALWAYS use a VRay camera as it gives you the best output and really easy to use since it is just like a real camera... real exposures etc.

I can control shutter speed, aperture, DOF, etc. very nice. Even ISO and White Balance :-)

Peter,

Thanks for the kind words. Actually, this one was VERY easy to do since it is a simple torus knot. The hardest part was setting up the scene in MAX.

Have you gone through any or some of the video tutorials on BlipTV?
